From the Principal

On behalf of the faculty and staff of Columbia High School, I would like to extend a warm greeting to our students, parents and school community. We are all very excited about the opportunities that lie before us in 2008-09. With academic achievement and positive youth development as beacons for our efforts, I am encouraging each of us to work collaboratively to serve the needs of our students.

The leadership team of Columbia High School has identified three goals for 2008-09:

To increase the percentage of students passing the HSAP Exit Exam on their first attempt.
To increase the percentage of students passing the HSAP Exit Exam within two years after their first attempt.
To increase the number of students passing End-of Course Examinations.

These goals represent a focus on improving teaching and learning across various grade levels and subject areas. We are committed to improving the instructional process at Columbia High School while serving the needs of our students and community.

Columbia High School has a treasured history and I am honored to lead our team and school community as we work to continue an outstanding tradition.
